Valves
Where reliability and perfect functioning even under extreme conditions are the essential prerequisites for a successful application the Tiefenbach Control Systems valves have become firmly established.
With our widespread product range tailored to the special applications hydraulic fluids are safely controlled at high pressure differences and extreme operating temperatures. Long-life and highly effective sealing systems permit a use in rough environments and prevent emissions that would harm the environment.
Irrespective of whether the task is to determine pressures, set flow rates set or change flow directions: With the valves of Tiefenbach Control Systems hydraulic system operations can be effectively controlled. The valves are actuated either mechanically, hydraulically or electrically. Operation of the electrically activated valves is by intrinsically safe solenoids.
Everything is under control!
With the new safety directive for machinery and equipment 2006/42/EC coming into effect control systems which are part of a safety function must be evaluated according to their degree of reliability.
This operational reliability is determined in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13849 by taking a probabilistic approach. The safety-relevant control systems are evaluated and classified into different „Performance Levels“ (PL).
In order to be able to grade the safety-relevant control systems the MTTFd values (Mean Time To Failure) of the individual components of the control system are used.
Tiefenbach Control System GmbH makes available as download the certificate issued by an independent certification body covering the MTTF values of the 3/2-way capsules and 2/2-way capsules.

The pilot control valves are 4/3-way valves. They are primarily designed for operating larger valves, particularly as part of the electrohydraulic control system.
A flanged-on solenoid converts electrical energy into mechanical energy via a magnetic coil with plunger which, in turn, actuates the directional control valves. Hydraulic control systems can thus be indirectly electrically controlled. This feature is the one permitting an effective connection to our shield control units and an automation of the mining operation.
