Face supply system for HFA hydraulic plants
The optimum supply of the extraction systems is extremely important for a perfect functioning of longwall installations.
Our face supply system provides high-quality pressure fluid to the mining system. The supply with other media such as, for example, for the shearer cooling, the plow track spraying or the canopy spraying systems is also possible.
We offer you the possibility of choosing between either individual pump control components or a perfectly matched complete face supply system.
Take your choice!

The high-pressure pump HDP is a major component of the face supply system and is designed for providing the hydraulic equipment parts in the longwall face with hydraulic fluid. It is a three-cylinder plunger pump of compact design. The particular advantage offered by this pump is its unique high-pressure plunger sealing action which reduces friction losses and wear to a minimum. This ensures a long service life at highest pressures.
Tank unit
In the high-pressure face supply system the tank unit provides the emulsion for the high-pressure power packs. The high-grade steel tank has a standard capacity of 3000 liters.

The filter station is an essential component of the high-pressure face supply system. It provides effective filtration and thus increases the life of important and expensive support components. In order to ensure an optimum filtration the fluid is filtered both in the high-pressure line and in the return line. The number of filters required for each application depends on the technical requirements of the respective longwall equipment. An overview of the available filters is given ► here.

The emulsion mixing plant is an optional component of the high-pressure face supply system. It is designed for mixing the fresh water with the concentrate and tops up the emulsion tank automatically. In order to make refilling the emulsion tank as easy as possible and to achieve an exact mixing ratio the computer-controlled emulsion mixing plant is used for this task.

The pump control unit iPSG is designed for monitoring an individual high-pressure pump.
Oil pressure, oil temperature, and condition of the pump circulation valve are constantly monitored via sensors. The data determined are transmitted directly to the main pump control unit where they are processed.
Main pump control unit iHSG
The main pump control unit iHSG collects all data it receives from the individual pump control units. The pump control units can be controlled by the main control unit. The status of the tank and the filter station, the circulation cycles of[...]
The main pump control unit iHSG collects all data it receives from the individual pump control units. The pump control units can be controlled by the main control unit.
The status of the tank and the filter station, the circulation cycles of the pumps, and several error messages can be called up either via a display or a number of different status indications.
